Basically, there are two reasons why you want to change style within a Web page. First, you might change the style to booster a page's attention grabbing potential and to capture the imagination of your audience.

Second you can change the style to provide feedback to your audience. Style is altered in technical books to help the reader understand the significance of the text. For example, a word in boldface and italics might be a literal string of text intended to be typed using the keyboard. Such a use of style is important in many technical Web pages.

How to add changing styles to a web page?

Step 1.

Define two or more styles with class names and attributes within the <STYLE> </ STYLE> tag pair.

Step 2. Within each text section that can dynamically change style:

Define an object name with an ID= attribute
Attach a style class to the section with a CLASS= attribute
Attach a script function name to one or more event attributes that you want to enable for the text section

Step 3.

Define a script function within a <SCRIPT> </SCRIPT> tag pair that changes style to an available style as defined in the <STYLE></STYLE> tags.
