Channels can be assigned logos through CDF documents. These logos appear either on the desktop or in the browser's channel list. The different ways in which logos can be used are:

As icons on the desktop
As icons in the program launcher
As logos in the channel guide and channel bar.

Every CHANNEL and ITEM element can have up to three logos: one for the desktop, one for the program launcher, and one for the channel bar. The LOGO element is used to attach a particular logo to a channel. The HREF attribute of the LOGO element is used to specify the URL where the graphic file containing the logo is found. Internet Explorer supports GIF, JPEG, and ICO format images for logos. Animated GIF images cannot be used for logos. The STYLE attribute of the LOGO element is used to specify the size of the image. The STYLE attribute can take in three keywords namely ICON, IMAGE, IMAGE WIDE.
