Merging Layers![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
After working with layers you may wish to have a single layer. Choose Merge Visible from the Layer menu or the Layer palette menu to merge the layers, which are visible into a single layer. If you choose Merge Down then the layer below the current layer gets merged with it. When layers are linked together, there is an option called Merge Linked in the Layer menu and Layers palette menu.
Flattening The Image For the file to be saved in TIFF or EPS format, you need to flatten the image. When you flatten the image the layers are flattened into a background layer. For flattening the image choose Flatten Image from the File menu or from the Layers palette menu.
